Love is the primary fruit of salvation, maybe the first one we see in the Christ-centered individual. FRUIT is the key. If "fruit" is attempted to gain favor with God, instead of the result of the relationship, it becomes Pharisaism. This is the main misinterpretation of 1Jn 3-6. We sometimes think that to prove we are Yeshua's disciples we have be obedient first, on our own, instead of it being the result of following Him. Since we fail miserably at producing our own fruit and trying to maintain the "image," I'm glad that the Holy Spirit manifestes the fruit.
