The media seems to see evil as not actually being a factor in what's going on in the world. But what is even more interesting or maybe appalling is how the average Christian views evil. They see Satan as having a lot more power over lives than he actually has and spend, in many cases, a tremendous amount of time in spiritual warfare, instead of preaching the Gospel. This TRUTH is what sets people free. The Devil's power is strictly limited to lies and deceit. When Jesus told the deciples who could not cast out a particular demon, that "this kind only comes out by prayer and fasting;" He was not talking about the demon, but rather His followers' doubt and unbelief.
