People have not changed - they are as skeptical today as they were then. Religious teaching is the hinderance; things being viewed more or less from the human experience with the five senses dominant. We are taught to have faith IN Jesus, instead of what the Bible teaches when we are born again: that we have the faith OF Jesus. We have the same Spirit and power in us that raised Jesus Christ from the dead.
