Whoa - just imagine if God told you that all by yourself you were going to be made a fortified city against the whole land and that they will fight against you, but "I will rescue you." This was a man who didn't have the benefit of possessing the same Spirit that Raised Jesus Christ from the dead, as we do; what do you think would be our reaction? With this Spirit resident in us, most of us still resist the simplest plan, with the explanation that it must not have been God who spoke. But what about the Word, which is more often than not muddled up with religious tradition and has diminished or perverted the truth?
